Excellent review for Adam Black at Telluride Properties Real Estate

Adam did an excellent job of assisting us from the very first call we made to talk to him. He took the time to meet with me on short notice for viewings and he did an excellent job of assisting us with to the offer, counter-offers, and finally the acceptance processall the way through the closing. We were in several different states handling a very complicated transaction and Adam was with us and assisted us through every step of the process, despite the many difficulties of our transaction. Adam is extremely professional, knowledgeable and resourceful. He came through for us with flying colors and we would highly recommend his services if you are even slightly interest in anything in the Telluride and Mountain Village areas. We could not have been happier with his services. We highly recommend that you consider Adam Black for all of your real estate needs in this area!

Dear Telluride & Mountain Village Community,
I am excited to share with you that Telluride Ski Resort has entered into a new, long-term season pass alliance with Vail Resorts beginning with the 2018-19 winter season. Telluride Season Pass holders and TSG Club members with full winter benefits will receive 50% off daily lift tickets at all Vail Resorts-owned mountains. Telluride will offer all top-tier Epic Pass holders up to seven days at our resort.
This new season pass alliance will attract destination skiers to Telluride that are closely aligned with our target demographic and will have a positive benefit to the local economy. This alliance with the Epic Pass will also allow us to reach a broader national audience.
It is important to note that Telluride Ski Resort remains 100% independently owned. Vail Resorts has no ownership interest in Telluride Ski Resort. This is strictly an alliance with the Epic Pass. The associated benefits will begin for the 2018-19 winter season.
Here’s a quick breakdown of what you can expect:
  • All Telluride Season Pass holders and TSG Club members with full winter benefits will receive 50% off daily lift tickets at all Vail Resorts-owned mountains. Season Passes include: Adult, Child, Junior, Young Adult, Senior, Palmyra, Merchant, Lifetime and Telluride Ski & Golf Club members with full winter benefits.
  • Only top-tier Epic Pass holders (Epic Pass, Epic 7-Day, Epic 4-Day) will receive access in Telluride. This alliance does not include the Epic Local or Value Passes.
  • After the current 2017-18 winter season, Telluride Ski Resort will no longer be part of the Mountain Collective.
Please take the time to read the following FAQs:
An updated line-up of Telluride Season Passes products and multi-day cards will be announced when passes go on sale in August 2018.

Telluride Ski Resort – Grey Jay

The Telluride connections of Warren Miller
Late filmmaker worked often with Telski and its skiers
The universe of snow skiers, aka “The White Planet,” mourned deeply last week when beloved ski filmmaker Warren Miller perished at 93 at his home in Orcas Island, Washington. Miller resided in Washington for decades, and an affectionate obituary in the Seattle Times noted that the heavens bequeathed the closest ski mountain to Orcas Island – Mt. Baker – a 19-inch snowstorm the day Miller died.
Born in Los Angeles, Miller was a West Coast dude to his core. Yet he – and especially, his namesake entertainment company – forged a strong bond with Telluride as well.
Film crews visited the area three different times in 2010 to shoot “Wintervention,” resulting in a gobsmacking, eight-minute Telluride segment highlighted by shots of locals Galena Gleason, Chason Russell, Brian O’Neill and Hilaree O’Neill jumping cliffs in Black Iron Bowl and slashing fresh powder on Palmyra Peak.
No wonder Warren Miller’s legacy is as a die-hard skier who forever supported the mountain lifestyle. As the man himself said when he was 86:  “I really believe in my heart that that first turn you make on a pair of skis is your first taste of total freedom, the first time in your life that you could go anywhere that your adrenaline would let you go.”

The annual Summer Kickoff Party and the outdoor concerts held throughout the summer season are only a few of the club’s many social activities.

Highly likely to recommend We interviewed several. local real estate agents when we wanted to sell our mountain village condo. We were impressed with Adam’s ideas of marketing our property and listing it at a price range that met our desires and the market. He did a great job marketing the property and brought us several offers. We highly recommend Adam. He works very hard and effectively.

Who: Cycling advocacy group for San Miguel County & International Mountain Biking Association Chapter – Working for better trails and better biking in the Telluride region

What: Your donations go towards… day to day operations, trail tools, trail maintenance days, special events, planning = professional trail assessments and future trail planning. – We are a 501(C3) so your donations are tax deductible!

Where: San Miguel County / Based in Telluride, CO – Past projects that we initiated, built or supported include: Town of Telluride Pump Track, Mountain Village Bike Park, Thunder Road/Burn Canyon Trails (Norwood), Valley Floor Trails as well as maintenance/planning days on Prospect, Alta Lakes, Mill Creek, Valley floor.

When: Since 2008

Why: Voice the needs of the local cycling community in an organized and unified manner. We need your involvement to pursue our goals. Please donate your time and/or funds to help improve cycling in San Miguel County.

Future plans for: Prospect/Alta Lakes expansion into Turkey Creek, Prospect Trail re-route, high alpine connecting trails, Burn Canyon Trails input/construction, Telski DH Park (Gravity Logic), New Down Valley Trails (BLM)

SMBA – Better Trails & Biking in the Telluride Region

SMBA has been hard at work providing Better Trails & Biking in the Telluride Region. We rely heavily on donations and sponsors to accomplish the majority of our funding. See below for more details on what goes on behind the scenes, what we have been using the donations for and what we need donations for in the future:

Trail Planning:

We are an organized board with president of local volunteers that are passionate about cycling. The group meets regularly to advocate on the cycling community’s behalf.

Not so glorious, but extremely important are the countess meetings that take place between Forest Service, BLM, town, county, etc… that we attend to make sure cycling stays at the forefront of the conversation. We write letters of support and show up in person at meetings to make our voices heard on important issues in the cycling community.

Creating proposed trail maps providing future goals to work towards. Examples of trails in the planning phase are: Alta Lakes Re-route, Turkey Creek/Prospect Basin Trail, …

Trail Building:

Trails SMBA has been a part of building, or supporting include The Mountain Village Bike Park, Pump Track in Town Park, Lawson Hill Bypass Re-Route, Prospect Trail Downhill Start Re-Route, Burn Canyon & Thunder Road Trails. (any others?)

Trail Maintenance:

SMBA holds weekly group rides that perform maintenance on the local area trails, mainly clearing them of fallen trees which happens often.

The major trail maintenance happens in cooperation with the Forest Service or BLM and typically several large projects get tackled each season.

Event Planning including organizing fundraisers, parties, group rides, SMBA shwag sales, partner with other businesses and non-profits. We hold a yearly fundraiser event and also have an annual prospect opening day group ride/party.

It costs money to build and maintain trails and it costs money to build and maintain a website. We purchased an amazing cache of trail maintenance tools including the big fat bike to lug them up the hill and we have been putting all of those tools to use! Hopefully you have noticed the good trail conditions.

Spent money on: Trails Tools, Trail Tool Bike, Socks, Shirts, Water Bottles, Website, (anything else?)

Need money for: More and Different Trail Tools, more SMBA merchandise, Professional Trail Planning.
